My Birthday celebration with the gang =)

I realise if you don’t expect anything, then everything that happens to you will make you happy =)

This is my most happiest birthday I ever had =DD There’s so many people! Rx brought his gf along, there’s sam too! xD

Actually I thought we are just going to have a simple dinner @ Ding Tai Feng (And my lovely xiao long bao!)

But ’surprisingly’, there’s cake as well! *the waitress actually asked us if they should serve the cake’ >.> so obvious liao.

And also I’m very surprise that they are paying for my meal. So pai sei. >.< But thanks everyone!!!

And the Korean Restaurant we went @ Furama Hotel, is really nice.

Recommended by my colleague.

We ordered Ginseng Chicken soup and BiBimBup. And it came with 7 small dishes which includes Kimchi, peanuts, egg rolls, veggies, egg pancake (i think), and something that taste a bit like kimchi but it’s not. hHAA.. a lot lah.

Their kimchi doesn’t taste the same as those I ate from foodcourt. =DD

A looooooot of dishes. when we only ordered 2 items. LOL

We ate until very full. The ginseng chicken soup and bibimbup is damn nice!!!! I believe there’s half chicken there. very very nice. And the service there is so good! The owner will come up and ask if we need more chicken soup, changed plates for us, refilled our glass and also placed a jar of green tea on our table for us. So good!! The service is ++ .

He will also ask us if everything is alright. so good lah. HAHA.. kamsahamida~

The price is also quite reasonable. average of 22 per person (depends on what you ate).

I saw they have private traditional room. Those whereby you have to sit on the floor. So nice.

Kimchi Kimchi Kimchi…

After work…. I bought one small package of Kimchi. I thought… one additional dish tonight!

But when I reach home, only dad is at home, mummy going out, bro not coming home for dinner.

And the funny things is daddy actually bought 1 BIG packet of Kimchi!!! D=

Now there’s a loooooot of Kimchi at home liao loh. HAHAA

Mummy cooked fried rice for me. So I added the kimchi in and stir stir stir… *dadang!* Kimchi Fried Rice!!! Weeee~

HAHAA.

This coming sat i’m gonna eat korean spicy rice cake!! weee~~~

Past few days definitely is not the best days of my whole entire life.

I still have to work though, which is kinda hard. Don’t feel like talking.

Today, Ying Yin (Yin Ying? hhaha) bought a mooncake for me! Thanks a lot! So thoughtful of you. =) And she drew a whole bottle of Eiken’s pills just because I say I wanna eat one whole bottle of it. >_> It’s GREEN!

And my handphone became active once again today! Which made me kinda happy. All the funny messages. Or should i say LAME. At least, I feel loved by my dar dar. =D

Pei Shan smsed me today, which made me kinda surprised! It’s been sometime since we smsed. This time round it’s not SHE news. haha. It’s for some job though but i’m in intern now so… haix. I always miss jobs when it came to my doorsteps. >.< my sms is so busted.

I feels like I’ve walked into a dream and now I’ve woken up.

Hurting you is something I regret. But still.. we can’t turn back i guess. Not like the movie I’ve watched, with wishing powder that can bring you back to time.

ok anyway, going out with a foodie is actually beneficial to me. WHY? because i need to eat more!! She say she gonna donate some of her fats to me (well, almost everyone said that to me. but none actually DO it) and of course, i will trade that with my height. I dont mind! If only we can.. >.<

We went to eat in one of the japanese restaurant there for ramen. I don’t eat pork. But there’s pork in every ramen >_< So I ate the one with only 2 piece of pork + my fav food, CORN! haha

This is very filling. VERY. Although it is a little too salty but we have  our drinks anyway.

I really hoh, whenever i went to japanese restaurant, I will always order strawberry soda for my drinks. Although I told myself that I should try out other drinks, i still ordered the same thing again. haix. But i love it! I love strawberry soda!

It’s the first time i took a photo of the toilet!

Their toilet is the most comfortable toilet i have ever went to.

Why?! because it has classy doors (BLACK) and, inside the cubicle, it is totally PERSONAL. I feel so much at home. =X

In most toilet, their divider will not go all the way to the ground, there’s always a space there.

But for this!!! The divider is HIGH and it’s all the way to the ground with doors that are HIGH too. It is somehow sound proof too!!!

Grandpa’s d. Anniversary…

This morning, mum told me it’s grandpa’s death anniversary. So she’s going to my aunt’s house to give respect to him =D And also went there to give respect to the mahjong table =_=

Anyway, when thought of grandpa’s death anniversary, reminds me back on that day when I was in HDB’s function hall where my grandpa’s funeral was held. I’m still in the kindergarden days i think.

I was playing with a stranger kid. LOL! I don’t know who. But he hang around the Mama shop so we played.. =D
I guess he is my childhood friend then?
The funny thing is, I actually brought him to see my grandpa =X but luckily mummy stopped me HAHAHA.. oh else i might destroy a little boy’s childhood. =X

Wondering if we will ever meet? Even if we do, I don’t think we will recognize each other.

Anyway, Yesterday was damn damn damn fun. =DDDDD I love going out with friends seriously. XDDDDD

I told fel that we need to go somewhere else. Not orchard. Not bugis, where we normally hangout.
So we went allllll the way to Jurong Point.
To decorate our own cake for…… SHE’s 8th Anniversary!!! (YA! WE ARE CRAZY! XD WE ADMIT!)

They will provide you a non-designed cake, provide you with icing sugar of different colors and a few colorful decorative sweets.

You can choose the size of your cake and the type of cake (chocolate/vanilla). We choose chocolate medium size cake =D

We are really clumsy.. haha. our cake are kinda ruin by us =X

Oh well, so we walked around the mall. I think it’s the first time I shop around Jurong Point. That place is damn big. I thought it’s like any other shopping malls. But it is so huge! Almost similar to Vivo. There’s also this place that has all the Japanese restaurant. As though we have reached Japan. haha..

At that point of time, I’m tempted to eat sushi. So we went to buy the sushi to eat.

Next we saw a Korean snack shop somewhere. And I wanna eat that too!!!

Then I saw Ding Tai Feng… omg.. I’ve been craving for its Xiao Long Bao!!!

Ahhhhh.. so many food to eat there!!!

And we still have our cake to finish up >_<

There’s a pet shop there as well, they sell more of supplies and provide grooming services for the pets.

And I saw a dog there. (I thought no pets allowed in shopping malls? D=)

So fat.. opps. ok. So obedient lying down there with the bone.. KAWAII. the owner there so i dont dare to touch. =X

We went all the way to Joo Koon. HHA.. to see what’s over there.. chey..  there’s only factories there.

Then we went back to cityhall/suntec. I bought a 1TB hard disk from the IT fair. hahaa. $149 =X

oh well, i need it anyway. haha.

Oh, then we went for dinner and saw linda and her family there. And so, I intro felicia to her =)

Lunch Meeting

Our manager Mung had informed us about a lunch meeting in some weird places that i don’t know.

Actually, I thought, as an Intern, why go for meetings anyway? But since our colleague say we can go.. so we go loh. =)

So today, we took another colleague’s car (never see her before =X) to the meeting place. It’s quite near actually. And the place is really unique. Looks like the houses you can find in Fort Canning, olden white houses.

I was wondering what kind of restaurant do their business in such an ulu place.

When we opened the door, I am shock.. or.. are WE all shocked.

Yes, there are tables. but not dinning tables. So… what’s this? A kitchen?

And a lady came over with many red aprons and tells us to collect our apron.

APRON? what for?

Ya.. we gonna be cooking our own lunch. And there are 5(?) guys with us. HAHAH. =)

And so, we are grouped into groups of 4 for each team.

It’s like a cooking course seriously. haha.

For the first dish, it is a creative dish. They gave us a few ingredients, and we are required to cook them in our own way. There’s prawns, garlic, carrot and some sort of veggie. What i’m thinking is .. just put everything together and fry la. HAHA..

Here’s our final product! Nice dish isnt it?!

I’m the one who peeled the veggie. (I didn’t do much, really)

After finishing the dish, we went to look at how’s other ‘Cooks’ are doing..

he CAN cook!! hahaha.. omg. and their dish is so nicely decorated with ‘pac man’ carrots. hahaha

And here’s the dishes from all the 3 groups!! can you see our dish?

And nowww… the real thing.

LOL! we are going to make 3 dishes. Roasted chicken (with rice stuffed inside), mushroom soup, and Apple Tart.

I can’t remember the actual name la. HAHA.

And the instructor was teaching us on the methods of cooking. ALL of us are trying to remember what she is saying, and in the end, there’s actually a recipe for us. >_> alright. LOL i thought we need to remember so many things. D=

AHHA..

This chicken is REALLY nice. I love the skin the most. CRISPY! there’s rice inside. Yingyin doesn’t seem to like it though.

The side dish for this is actually pumkins and sweet potatos. I’m the one who cut it. HAHA.

I thought we need to cut it into cubes but the teacher came over and said we just have to cut it in big slices.. SLICE.

D= HUGE HUGE. And that’s the moment when I realise that french/western dishes are really BIG in size.

So for the other dishes, i cut it BIG. HAHAH

Next! THE MUSHROOM SOUP! OMG MY FAVOURITE!! And I’m so gonna learn how to make it!!!

But when i taste it, hmm.. i still prefer the one is mensa. HAHAHA. The taste is not very strong. A bit too watery. Maybe we added too much soup. =(

And last of all, the most delicious dessert!

APPLE TARTTT~~

Both the mushroom soup and apples are being cooked.

I didn’t know that we need to cook the apples. HAHA. The apple tart that i baked… i just cut the apples and it goes straight into the oven. Not bad, next time i shall try this recipe. WITH GREEN APPLES SPECIALLY FOR COOKING =D

We placed a pastry on it after that, baked it, and turned it over.

The pastry looks abit like roti prata =X but it taste different lah. REALLY nice. <3<3<3

I really really like this kitchen. =DDD so big and spacious. can do a lot of things =DDD How i wish my kitchen is like that too. With so many different spices (although i rarely use them) and sauces (i also dont use them often) and many different pots! And most importantly, the OVEN!

I’m really thankful that I can actually take part in this. It’s really fun! All thanks to Mung =DDD she’s so cute!

I’ve enjoyed the whole course! I think it’s meant to be a team bonding activity.

Anyway, the place is called.. Palate Sensations.

yingyin went to check on the website, the course fee definitely is not cheap. $100+ per person? I even saw $1000 ones.

So we took another colleagues car back to the office. Wa, many ppl got car hoh, makes me wanna have my own car too. ahaha.

When i’m back to the office, it’s back to work time. Time pass really fast when you have MANY MANY MANY things to complete. =(

Don’t think there’s sleep tonight. Tml sleep in cinema. HAHAHA. =X

How dumb can this girl get?!

Went for site visit again this friday. YES! every friday is site visit day LOL! =X

And 2 of us girls went to Daiso first =X ahaha. i wanna buy notebook ma.. then we ended up shopping for food for.. around 1 hr? =X hahaha *shhhhh*

When we reached Clarke Quay, our 3rd home (cuz keep going there), i took out my camera. YES! I finally remembered to bring my memory card!!! confirm plus chop stamp can take photo liao….. or that’s what I thought in the first place.

Then i realise….. my camera no battery. >_>

dumb dumb girl… can’t stand myself. >_>

Anyway, Mediascape is REALLY REALLY FUN!! (don’t think about the programming side la) It’s REAL fun if everything works fine… especially the GPS. =)
